This easy-to-use energy calculator is designed to give you an approximate energy cost on many household appliances over a one month (30-day) period. Please note that this table is designed with an average cost for each item. Your actual costs will vary. For time periods shorter than 1 hour you can enter decimals.

(ex:30 minutes = .50)

This calculator uses a kilowatt hour rate of 0.08472 cents. This table does not include service charges or any extra items you may have, such as security lighting, in the calculation.

This table is designed to include as many popular household items as possible and they are organized by room. Enter as many of each item that you have in each room and the approximate hours per day that item is in use.  

Please note that this energy calculator does not calculate central heating and air-conditioning costs as these costs can vary significantly by manufacturer and model.
